Why Blurami exists
The photos from an event contain people who want to be visible to different degrees. A school fair, a team outing, a family gathering - the same set holds somebody happy to be seen and somebody who would rather not appear at all.
Blurami puts the people first: subjects, rules, suggestions - and a review before anything is exported.
How it works
Blurami finds the faces in a set of photos and groups the ones that appear to belong to the same person. You decide what happens to each - blur, pixelate, redact or leave - and that decision applies everywhere that person appears. Anyone the app does not know is protected by default.
Reviewing and exporting are two steps. An export is a new file; your originals stay untouched. Metadata can be stripped on the way out, so a photo does not carry where and when it was taken.
An AI tool that does not phone home
Finding faces, grouping them into subjects and suggesting what needs attention are all done by models that run in the app on your device. No photo is uploaded for it. That is a deliberate constraint: it is the reason Blurami is on iPhone first.
Should a paid feature ever need a service off the device, Blurami says so before it runs and asks first. What applies then is in the privacy policy.
